Happiness in Little Pretty Shoes and Pretty Flowers - Joyfolie

I tell ya it's the little things that make me happy, I am sure you have read over and over again on my Blog about how much I love these special little shoes and flowers on Harlow. I received our first pair of Mia Joie shoes from my good friend Laura B. shortly after I had Harlow and I knew the moment I laid eyes on them it was love. I actually think Harlow looks a bit-off without a flower in her hair since she wears them almost everyday, of course if she has shoes on they are by Mia Joie and recently I ordered myself a fabulous flower headband.

Well what was once Mia Joie is now named Joyfolie, whatever the name I am in love with everything Jessica creates and am definetly one of her biggest fans. So go become a fan on her new Joyfolie Facebook page and Follow the Joyfolie Blog.

She has a contest going on now to win a pair of shoes, you know you can always give them to me if you win ;)

I dream about owning these for Harlow

Mom I Will Smile This Time...

I had no intention of taking pictures today because usually one of the kids ends up crying and I end up frustrated and sweaty without even getting what I think is "the perfect picture." But today Aiden asked me to take a picture with Harlow and he promised me he would smile this time. I tried to take some pictures last week and Aiden was the one who ended up crying when I took him out of the pictures because he wouldn't even look at the camera. So after Aiden made his plea for a picture I quickly grabbed the camera in hopes of getting a quick perfect picture to start out our day. I think he did pretty good, he couldn't hold Harlow very still but I was happy with these because I could feel the love between the two of them.

Aiden is so helpful during the day with Harlow, I often call on him to sing to her when I am busy making dinner or I ask for him to hand her a toy when I am trying to get ready in the morning. Harlow of course lights up when she sees either Paige or Aiden, I look forward to watching her play her big sister and brother when she gets a little bigger.

Sweet Harlow Evelyn ...5 months old

Our sweet baby Harlow is already 5 months old, it was sure was an exciting month of 'firsts'. Harlow cut her first two teeth (first little tooth on 1/21 and her second tooth just a week after), had her first feeding of Rice Cereal with daddy on 1/12, transitioned to her new room and crib and found...or say I started to chew on her feet.

Harlow is such a mover, she enjoys her tummy time with toys and prefers sitting in her bouncer to her swing on most days. I bought her a couple of new tether toys that vibrate when you chew on them, they have quickly become her favorites.

Happy 5 months Harlow

The Prettiest Little Flower

It sure has been busy here in our house; I was busy at work taking down all of the Christmas decor on top of my regular busy to-do list and Jon has been working diligently on finishing Harlow's nursery.

I had this idea today to snap some pictures of Harlow (5 months old) sitting in this cute flower pot by DixieBelle Gifts, she wasn't really excited about the idea but I did manage to get a few cute pictures before she started to fuss. Harlow really enjoyed our photo shoot on her blanket, gosh how I just adore her.

Harlow is wearing a knot dress by the fabulous Matilda Jane, sweet ruffle leggings by eden's bouquet and her flower headband is by the very talented Mia Joie.

Always love when I capture that sweet dimple

She was all done and ready to get back to sucking her thumb, precious!

Our VERY Merry Christmas 2009

Time, that's what I needed the most and I couldn't seem to find any of it before Christmas but now that its behind me I think I see more "time" heading my way.

We had a fantastic Christmas in our house. The BIG Santa present was a beautiful playset for our backyard. Jon worked night after night building it and finished the night before Christmas Eve. Luckily, I was able to distract the kids when pulling in and out of the garage so they didn't see it during the week. I really wanted the "magic" of Santa on Christmas morning and the kids got just that. Unfortunately, because of the snow the day before the kids couldn't really play much on it but I know it will be the best money spent for our 3 kids when the weather warms up a bit.

Some of the favorite presents from Christmas (they really love it all but here are a few to mention):
Both Paige and Aiden LOVE the Zhu Zhu pets with all of the fun accessories and the SpongeBob Basketball
Paige's favorite would be her Hanna Montana Karaoke System from Santa
Aiden's would be his Batman costume
Harlow's would be (I get to pick it right?) her stunning eden's bouquet outfit, always fabulous Mia Joie shoes and her new baby toys of course

THANK YOU to everyone who sent such wonderful presents (they really do love them all!) and of course the money was greatly appreciated so Jon & I could get the kids more of what they wanted since we were really only getting them the playset at first and then had extra funds to get more toys for the kids.

Christmas day was spent playing with toys and then we went to the movies. I think that will have to be a yearly tradition, the kids had such a great time eating popcorn and ICEE for lunch and it was nice to get out of the house for a bit on Christmas. We saw Alvin and the Chipmunks, such a cute kids movie. When we arrived back home we enjoyed some Honey Baked Ham and the kids played with their toys into the night.

Opening up a present (well it was a few since what they wanted to open was the Zhu Zhu pets Fun House and you need the Hamsters of course to use it) on Christmas Eve
