Paige Lost her First Tooth and I get to play Tooth Fairy

We sure have had an exciting couple of weeks in our house and last night we have another exciting event to add to our list, Paige lost her first tooth. We had noticed it was wiggly for about a week now and after I brushed her teeth last night it started falling out. Paige was a little scared because of the little bit of blood that came with it but after cheering her on and reassuring her it was all normal she was really excited about it.

I was really looking forward to starting my job as the Tooth Fairy so I quickly ran downstairs to get her the tooth pillow I bought for her off of Etsy and she gently tucked her tiny tooth inside and got into bed anxiously awaiting a visit from the Tooth Fairy. I bought her a Madame Alexander Tooth Fairy Doll and gave her $4 in the pocket of the pillow along with some Fairy dust sprinkled around. I plan on leaving her $5, a cute lollipop and maybe a trinket of some kind for her other lost teeth. I just love the missing tooth grin, she was so excited to go off to school to show everyone her new smile today.

Jon and I were so excited that our baby lost her first tooth

The back, such a cute little pocket to hold the tooth

Aiden wasn't sure what was going on but he wanted to be part of the action

Such a tiny little tooth

Ready for a visit from the Tooth Fairy

This morning before school, she was so excited to show me her new tooth fairy doll that the Tooth Fairy left her

She was so excited to show her friends at the bus stop her missing tooth and I bet she will have an extra fun day at school today showing it off to her teacher and classmates.

Pictures are Priceless

My favorite photographer and friend Joyce Blackson has done it again, she took the most amazing pictures of Harlow on Tuesday, August 25th. Harlow was 11 days old and was the perfect sleeping model towards the end of the shoot. I have realized over the past year that the best thing you can spend your money on is a good picture, I am so grateful to have found such a fabulous photographer to capture my families precious moments forever in pictures. Here are a few she posted for me to share.

I wasn't even "picture ready" because I wasn't planning on being in the pictures but I am glad Joyce convinced me to be in a few because I LOVE this picture of Harlow and I together, she really captured how much I love and adore our new baby girl.

I should get some time either later today or tomorrow to Blog about Harlow's birth story so please check back.

Paige Starts Kindergarten

For me it was a day filled with mixed emotions but for Paige it was all smiles and excitement, she was ready for Kindergarten. I just can't believe Paige is already 5, my little girl sure did grow up fast but at the same time I am so excited for her and all of the new things she will learn at school. It has just been such a time of change for me having just had Harlow, Paige starting school and an all around new routine involving 3 kids.

Paige is attending Bledsoe Elementary in Frisco, its only a 5 minute drive from our house but we also have a bus option because of the major intersection and lack of paved walkways to get to the school. We of course took Paige to school on her first day which was August 24th and today we put our little girl on the big yellow bus, she was thrilled to ride it. It's a full day at school for Paige, her day starts at 7:50 am and ends at 3:00 pm. I thought our little girl would be tired and cranky after such a long day but actually shes just the opposite, she comes home with just as much energy as she had in the morning before she left.

I was pretty impressed with Jon and I being able to have everyone dressed and ready in the morning and me having Harlow (10 days old) fed and happy in her sling so we could cherish every minute of Paige's very first day at school.

Over the weekend Paige saw these flowers and insisted she needed to get some for her Teacher, she is so thoughtful and sweet.

My hope is that this planter is always here so I can take a picture of Paige standing in front of it every year.

Heading down the hall to the Kinder classrooms...

Such a fun classroom

Paige's first "job" will be a Calendar Bear

Love the name tag so I don't have to worry about her getting lost

A family picture, well Harlow is in the sling and Aiden is playing with Legos on the floor

Sitting at her desk, she already made a person with her Play-doh

So excited for her, I can't wait to hear about her day...everyday

Daddy giving her a goodbye kiss and brother attacking her with a stuffed pencil

Today getting on the bus. She was so excited; I was a bit nervous when I put her on but picking her up was so smooth and much easier on the nap routine for Aiden and Harlow. Paige was in mid-song with friends when I got her off the bus and she went on and on about how much she enjoyed the ride.

After getting Paige on the bus Aiden was ready to take over the house, first was Paige's Leapster

I of course have so much to share with you all including Harlow's beautiful homebirth story and so many fun firsts with our new little Princess. I will try to make it to the computer in the next few days to tell you all about it.

37 weeks, 5 days and Ready to Meet Harlow

I had an appointment with our Mid-Wife Kathleen today. I am 3 cm dilated and Harlow has dropped more. Its hard to say when Harlow will arrive but my guess is in the next few days with how I have been feeling. I can finally say I am ready; we now have the birthing tub and everything we need for Harlow is ready and waiting. Stay tuned, I will keep you all posted.

Diapers Fit for a Princess...

I just had to share this FABULOUS diaper cake my friend Andrea gave to me last night; it will be hard to take it apart to use the diapers but lucky for me she used size 1 diapers so I will get to enjoy it for awhile. Andrea herself just welcomed a new baby to her family on 7/27/09 so I was able to enjoy some good baby love for a couple hours last night, baby Cruz sure is adorable and I can't wait for him to meet his new friend baby Harlow when she arrives.

I also received this ADORABLE personalized bib from my friend Kimberly, I am sure it will be put to good use.

I just feel so grateful and loved, I can't wait for Harlow to meet all of these amazing friends I have here in TX. I haven't been doing much but preparing for Harlow, I still need to take those pictures of her little area in our room so you can all see it. I can finally say I feel ready to meet her so I hope she arrives soon.

I have an appointment with my Mid-Wife Kathleen tomorrow so I will be sure to post again tomorrow with the details.

She's About to POP! A Baby Shower for Harlow, 37 weeks

Last night my friends hosted a beautiful shower to celebrate the arrival of baby Harlow. The theme was all about things that "POP", such a fitting theme since I myself am about to POP at 37 weeks. Amber hosted the shower at her house and 3 of my other girlfriends helped to put it together, here is a picture of me with these amazing party planning girls.

Amber, Shelly, ME, Nicole & Laura

I can't say enough about all of the cute details, they really did POP!

Soda POP! I love soda from a bottle, it just tastes better.

"POP a Jon" wanted to contribute something to my shower so the girls picked out a FABULOUS cake from my favorite bakery Cakes Amore. It was Vanilla with Strawberry Filling on the top and the bottom layer was Chocolate with Strawberry Filling...it was so pretty and most importantly yummy!

Look at how cute those lollipops are...

Look at that cute Harlow sign Shelly made behind me, I LOVE it!

Laura made this ADORABLE baby carriage fruit bowl...

Look at this set-up, it was a candy table where everyone could fill up a take home a bag of candy. I just love all of the details, everything was perfect.

Look at all of the things that "POP"! Push Pops, Popcorn Balls, Lollipops, etc....

Laura enjoying some candy...

I love these little candy filled baby shoes that the girls made, look at the sparkle button...SO CUTE!

Laura and Becky filling up their candy bags...

Amy won the fun diaper pin game. You couldn't say the words Harlow or Baby (of course I lost mine almost immediately) and if you did, you lost your baby pin to whomever caught you saying those words. As you can see Amy was great at taking pins from everyone and won the prize.

Showering Harlow with so many sweet presents. I can't THANK everyone enough who attended, I feel so fortunate to have such a great group of friends. I just put some of the pictures of presents received but I loved it all.

This was from Amber, I love this adorable outfit she got off of Etsy...

Love this outfit for fall...

My friend Lyndee made this one, it has a spot for a picture every month up to a year. I can't wait to hang it in Harlow's nursery once we set it up.

Nicole made this pretty outfit, can't wait to get it on Harlow...

Shelly made these fabulous burpies, always a necessity and they make for a great personalized keepsake...

So excited to get another go around at dressing a girl, look at this pretty outfit from Lisa complete with matching socks and headband...

Most importantly my TX Family of Friends, the gathering of these girls in celebration of baby Harlow is what I cherish the most about last night. Thank you ALL again for all of your love and support.
Harlow sure is lucky to have such an amazing extended family.
